The world’s first sprinkler monument has been inaugurated in Alcobendas, near Madrid. A project led by Emilio Rodriguez of Pacisa, a leading Spanish sprinkler installer, the 2 m high brone statue stands on a roundabout at the entry to a large industrial zone. Present at the inauguration were the Mayor of Alcobendas and many representatives of sprinkler companies, insurers and consultancies, as well as of EFSN and the Spanish fire protection trade association Tecnifuego. Those who contributed to funding the monument are listed on the plinth.
