John van Lierop, the EFSN Country Manager for The Netherlands, reports that a fire on 15th September at the Langezaal recycling firm in Haaksbergen was controlled by the sprinkler system until the fire brigade arrived to complete extinguishment. Over the past month there have been three fires at Langezaal. In each case the sprinkler system controlled the fire and there was no damage to the facility. The cause of all three fires is believed to be self-ignition.
