Along with falls in construction activity and new building permits, the sprinkler market declined in most European countries in 2023. Norway is one of two countries to publish statistics. These are collected by Brannteknisk Forening, the Norwegian fire protection trade association. The total number of sprinklers sold was 792,586, a decrease of almost 14% from 2022. Almost a quarter were for residential protection. Despite the fall, Norway remains the largest sprinkler market in Europe in relation to the population, with all new buildings except single-family homes being protected. In addition to the sprinklers, 36,937 water mist nozzles were sold, a smaller decrease of over 5%. Almost two-thirds of these water mist nozzles were for residential protection. More details
